This listing is for the TMC TD04L-PHASE 1 Hybrid Turbocharger only, intended for experienced builders and tuners integrating a proven TD04L upgrade into a custom turbo conversion or replacement setup.

Built using a genuine Mitsubishi TD04L core, the PHASE 1 turbo is professionally balanced and upgraded with a lightweight 7075 aluminium (Ergal) compressor wheel, delivering strong spool characteristics, reliability, and consistent performance. With the correct supporting modifications, this turbocharger is capable of producing up to 260 BHP.

This unit is well suited to both Abarth and Alfa Romeo 1.4 platforms, where bespoke exhaust, fuelling, and calibration solutions are planned.

Technical Background

The TD04L-PHASE 1 is a compact, oil-cooled turbocharger featuring a HiSi turbine housing, capable of withstanding 860 °C continuous and 920 °C peak temperatures. A pneumatic actuator setup is used, avoiding the complexity of electronic boost control and making this turbo well suited to custom tuning and simplified installations.

This turbocharger is developed in collaboration with Saito Italy, the authorised European Mitsubishi turbo distributor, drawing on decades of experience supplying turbo solutions for Fiat- and Alfa-based performance platforms.
