The TMC TD04L Phase 1 Hybrid Turbocharger is the ideal entry point into the TD04L turbocharger range, offering a significant performance improvement over the factory turbocharger while maintaining excellent drivability, fast spool characteristics, and genuine Mitsubishi reliability.

Built using a genuine Mitsubishi TD04L core, the Phase 1 turbo is professionally balanced and upgraded with a lightweight 7075 aluminium (Ergal) compressor wheel, delivering strong mid-range performance and supporting substantially higher airflow than the factory turbocharger.

Designed for Abarth 1.4 T-Jet and 1.4 MultiAir applications, the TD04L Phase 1 is a proven solution for enthusiasts seeking reliable performance gains without compromising everyday usability.

Technical Information

The TD04L Phase 1 utilises a high-quality HiSi turbine housing capable of withstanding continuous temperatures of up to 860°C and peak temperatures of approximately 920°C.

A pneumatic actuator system is utilised, offering a simple and reliable boost control solution that is ideally suited to custom performance applications.

The turbocharger has been developed in collaboration with Saito Italy, the authorised European Mitsubishi turbo distributor, drawing upon decades of experience supplying performance turbocharger solutions for Fiat-based platforms.

Every TMC TD04L Phase 1 Hybrid Turbocharger is built using a genuine Mitsubishi turbocharger core supplied through Saito Italy and professionally modified and balanced to ensure exceptional reliability and performance.

Unlike many cheaper alternatives available online, this is not a low-quality copy turbocharger. Genuine Mitsubishi hardware provides the strength and durability required for serious performance applications.


Important Information

This listing is for the turbocharger only.

No downpipe, sensors, injectors, gaskets, oil lines, water lines, or fitting hardware are included.

A suitable TD04L downpipe will be required and is available separately on our website.

ECU calibration/remapping is essential.

High-octane fuel (99 RON recommended) should be used for optimum performance and reliability.

Depending on your power goals, additional supporting modifications may be required, including:
