Euro 6 kits include an uprated Pierburg valve for improved boost stability.

Dyno Results & Camshaft Comparison

You can see real-world dyno graphs from multiple Abarth builds running the TMC TD04L-PHASE 2 Turbo Kit, demonstrating consistent and repeatable performance across different engine configurations.

Two of the displayed dyno graphs are from vehicles fitted with upgraded camshafts. These setups highlight the benefit of performance cams at the top end, allowing the engine to rev higher and achieve increased peak power beyond the standard RPM range.

You may notice that, compared to non-camshaft setups, peak torque is slightly lower on cam-equipped engines. This is an expected and well-understood trade-off. Performance camshafts are optimised for high-RPM airflow and cylinder filling, improving top-end power at the expense of low-RPM efficiency. As a result, torque delivery shifts higher in the rev range, favouring outright performance over low-speed drivability.

In contrast, cars running the TD04L-PHASE 2 kit on standard camshafts typically produce stronger mid-range torque, making them better suited to fast road use, while cam-equipped builds are ideal for track-focused or high-RPM performance applications.

In short: standard camshafts favour mid-range response, while upgraded camshafts unlock higher RPM and maximum peak power.

These results highlight the flexibility of the TD04L-PHASE 2 platform, allowing customers to tailor their setup depending on whether their priority is drivability or outright performance.
