TMC Motorsport Rear Seat Delete Kit – Installation Guide

Installing your Rear Seat Delete Kit is quick and straightforward, typically taking around 10 minutes. Everything you need is included, with clear markings on the underside for hassle-free assembly.

You’ll only need a screwdriver or drill to complete the installation.

Step 1: Preparation

  1. Remove your rear seats and all associated brackets.
  2. Important: If your vehicle has any welded brackets that cannot be removed, please leave them in place. Our kits are designed to accommodate these, making installation fully reversible.

Step 2: Kit Contents

  1. Unpack and lay out all kit components.
  2. Most kits include a universal bracket package:
  3. 2 x Black L Brackets
  4. 1 x Silver L Bracket
  5. 12 x 16mm Small gold screws
  6. 6 x 25mm Large gold screws
  7. 2 x Black screw cap heads
  8. 2 x 12mm Plywood supports
  9. Some models may also include:
  10. 50mm x 50mm wooden support blocks
  11. Additional screws and L brackets
  12. Note: Floors requiring wooden support blocks will have clearly marked squares on the underside, along with bracket location guides.

Step 3: Assembly

  1. Follow the CNC markings on the underside of the floor panel.
  2. Match the numbered L brackets and plywood supports to their corresponding locations.
  3. For models with wooden support blocks, position them as marked and secure using the supplied silver L brackets and small screws.
  4. Use large screws to fix the numbered wooden supports (typically marked 1 and 2) into their designated sections—leave these supports overhanging as indicated.

Step 4: Installation

  1. Start with the section featuring the flat wooden supports—this must be installed into the car first.
  2. Example: On the Audi Floor above, the seat section is installed first, followed by the rear boot section.
  3. The support blocks ensure both sections sit level.
  4. Once both sections are in place, use the provided large screws to secure the two sections together by screwing down from the top into the wooden supports below.
  5. Finish by placing the black screw caps over the screws for a tidy appearance like the Abarth floor installed below.
