Constructed entirely from high-grade titanium and complemented by 200 cpsi sport catalytic converters, this track-oriented system is designed to enhance every aspect of the driving experience”from sound and performance to weight savings and aesthetics. Sound

The Slip-On Race Line transforms the soundtrack of the Ferrari 296 GTB, extracting an unmistakable racing tone from its 120° V6 twin-turbocharged engine. The system delivers a deep, commanding rumble at idle and low revs, building to an exhilarating high-frequency crescendo as the revs climb. Featuring two titanium exhaust valves system dynamically controls gas flow to create a balanced, track-ready sound profile. Tuned specifically for use on closed circuits, it eliminates intrusive noise while delivering an unmistakable racing presence.

Performance

The Akrapovič Slip-On Race Line (Titanium) improves exhaust flow by reducing back pressure, allowing the engine to operate more efficiently. This enhances throttle response and provides sharper acceleration, creating a more dynamic driving experience. When combined with the optional Link Pipe Set (SS) system achieves a weight reduction of 38.4% (-3.6 kg) compared to the standard stock exhaust, improving agility and handling while maintaining the vehicle™s balance. Two 200 cpsi sport catalytic converters replace the petrol particulate filters for a more direct and unrestricted gas flow, with mandatory ECU remapping recommended to optimise performance.

Design

The Akrapovič Slip-On Race Line is a masterpiece of design and engineering, crafted from lightweight titanium and featuring 3D-printed tailpipes with an outer sleeve finished in hand-laid carbon fibre. Designed to be bumper-mounted, this configuration offers a strikingly different appearance from the standard stock version, enhancing the rear aesthetic of the Ferrari 296 GTB.

Complex components, including valve housings, are cast in Akrapovič™s in-house titanium foundry, ensuring precision and durability. The system incorporates stainless steel heat insulation to prevent heat transfer to the engine compartment, maintaining optimal operating conditions and protecting surrounding components.
