Sound

The Akrapovič Evolution Line (Titanium) transforms the sound of the Audi RS Q8™s V8 engine, offering a dynamic yet refined auditory experience. Equipped with a valve on each side muffler and a complex active X-connection system balances exhaust pulses from both sides of the engine for precision sound tuning. Both the valve housings and X-connection are cast in Akrapovič™s in-house foundry, ensuring top-tier craftsmanship.

Designed for versatility system delivers a deep, resonant rumble at low revs, a strong mid-range resonance, and a high-frequency top end that reflects Akrapovič™s motorsport heritage. Downshifts are accompanied by a sharp, engaging note to heighten driving excitement. Tuned for everyday usability exhaust avoids unwanted drone or excessive noise, ensuring the comfort and refinement expected of a luxury SUV like the RS Q8.

Performance

The Evolution Line (Titanium) optimises performance by reducing back pressure and enhancing exhaust flow, allowing the RS Q8™s V8 engine to operate more efficiently. This results in sharper throttle response, stronger acceleration, and an overall more dynamic driving experience. Akrapovič™s dyno testing confirms measurable gains, including +6.3 hp at 6,200 rpm and +4.4 ft-lb of torque at 3,500 rpm. Additionally titanium construction achieves a significant weight reduction of 12.2 kg (41.0%) compared to the stock system. These benefits translate to improved handling, agility, and overall vehicle balance”all without requiring ECU remapping, ensuring seamless integration with the factory setup.

Design

This exhaust system combines engineering excellence with a refined aesthetic. Constructed entirely from lightweight, high-grade titanium system features a central muffler, two side mufflers, and an X-connection element in the link pipes, all optimised for performance and durability. The larger stainless-steel link pipes feature custom flex tubes that are fully insulated where they attach to the downpipes to ensure thermal stability.

The system concludes with eye-catching carbon fibre/titanium tailpipes on either side, featuring a sandblasted titanium interior and a handmade, dynamically shaped carbon fibre outer sleeve. The result is a striking finish that perfectly complements the RS Q8™s performance-focused styling. Akrapovič™s meticulous attention to detail ensures that this system not only performs exceptionally but also enhances the overall aesthetic of the vehicle.
